Case study, Healthcare

Destination-led search, straight through to an appointment.

Swansea Travel Clinic, part of Medihub Pharmacy, provides travel vaccinations across two South Wales branches. Patients search by where they are going, so the site is organised the same way.

The brief

The brief.

Nobody searches for 'travel vaccination services'. They search for the jabs they need for Thailand, or India, or Kenya, usually a few weeks before flying and often at speed. A clinic site organised around its service list is invisible to that search and confusing to the patient who does find it.

The site needed to meet destination-led demand, publish pricing openly so patients can plan, serve two physical branches without splitting the brand, and get from arrival to booked appointment in as few steps as possible.

Scope

What we built.

  1. 01

    Destination-led structure

Popular travel destinations given their own routes, matching how patients actually search rather than how the clinic lists its services.

  2. 02

    Vaccination service pages

The full range of travel vaccination services explained in patient language, with the clinical detail kept accurate.

  3. 03

    Published pricing

Vaccine pricing on the page so patients can budget a trip without phoning first.

  4. 04

    Two-branch handling

Pontarddulais and Killay presented as one clinic with two locations, each findable and contactable in its own right.

  5. 05

    Appointment booking

An online booking route as the primary action, with direct phone numbers for patients who prefer to call.

  6. 06

    Technical SEO foundations

Site structure, internal linking and markup built so the destination and service pages can compete in local and informational search.

Decisions

Build decisions.

  1. 01

Organised by destination, not by service

Matching the site's structure to real search behaviour is the single highest-leverage decision in this category.

  2. 02

    Pricing published, not quoted

Travel health is time-pressured. Every question a patient has to phone in for is a booking that might not happen.

  3. 03

    One brand, two branches

Splitting into separate sites would divide the search footprint. A single site with distinct location surfaces keeps the authority together.
